Exporting a dashboard or card

Kyvos allows you to export information from a dashboard in a variety of formats. Use this feature to create a snapshot of your data for the current moment.

You can export:

• The dashboard to PowerPoint (PPT)

• Adding a custom template

• The dashboard view to a PDF or image file 

• A single card from the dashboard to a PDF or CSV file

• Multiple cards from the dashboard to CSV file

• Selecting filter cards for exporting

• Add page breaks for Dashboard

• Add header and footer for Dashboard

• Export all groups within a group widget of a dashboard

• Export a single PDF from multiple filter combinations

Exported information can optionally include the title, card, and filter information. Card and filter information are displayed on subsequent pages.

Exporting Dashboard to PowerPoint (PPT)

1. From the Toolbox, choose Workbooks and select a workbook.

2. Create or select an existing dashboard.

3. From the Options menu at the top right, choose Export.

4. From the File Format, choose the PPT option.

5. Select the Include Cover Slide, Include Card Information, Export Cards with Maximizes State, and Export in Multiple pages checkboxes if you want these included in the PPT.

   1. Include Cover Slide: When enabled, the exported PPT will contain an introductory slide featuring key information about the dashboard.

   2. Include Card Information: When enabled, the system will add a separate slide immediately after each card snapshot slide that contains detailed information about the card (for example, description and metadata).

   3. Export Cards in Maximized State: When enabled, each selected card will be automatically opened in its maximized state before the snapshot is captured. This ensures that the exported slide includes the most detailed and expanded view of the card.

   4. Include Dashboard Full View: When enabled, the export will include a slide with a full-view snapshot of the entire dashboard, providing a comprehensive overview of the dashboard layout and all its components in a single slide.

   5. Export with Multiple Combinations: When enabled, the system will automatically apply all relevant dynamic filter combinations and generate a separate export for each unique combination. For each combination, a dedicated section will be created in the PowerPoint file that includes:

      • A slide containing the dashboard snapshot for the specific filter combination

      • Slides for all widgets associated with that filtered dashboard view

      This allows users to compare multiple filtered perspectives of the dashboard within a single consolidated presentation.

   6. Slide Content Handling: The full-view dashboard and individual cards are captured as images in the PowerPoint slides. Card information (such as description and metadata) is included as text. For URL-based cards, the corresponding hyperlink is embedded directly into the slide.

6. From the Select Template list, select the custom template you want to apply. To know more about the custom template, see the section Adding a custom template, as mentioned below.

7. Click Export.

Adding a custom template

The PowerPoint template must include at least one slide master that defines the required predefined layouts listed below. Each layout must follow the specified naming convention and include the required placeholders. These placeholders are dynamically populated during export.

KyvosTitleSlide

Use the KyvosTitleSlide layout to define the dashboard cover slide.

This layout must include the following placeholders:

• {{title}} — Displays the dashboard name.

• {{username}} — Displays the name of the user who initiated the export.

• {{download-date}} — Displays the export date and time.

KyvosDashboardSlide

Use the KyvosDashboardSlide layout to render the full dashboard view.

This layout must include the following placeholders:

• {{title}} — Displays the dashboard name.

• {{image}} — Displays a snapshot of the full dashboard view.

• {{description}} — Displays the dashboard description, if available.

If a dashboard description is present, it is also added to the Notes section of the generated slide.

KyvosCardSlide

Use the KyvosCardSlide layout to render individual dashboard cards.

This layout must include the following placeholders:

• {{title}} — Displays the card title.

• {{sub-title}} — Displays the card subtitle.

• {{image}} — Displays a snapshot of the card.

• {{description}} — Displays the card description, if available.

If a card description is present, it is also added to the Notes section of the generated slide.

KyvosURLCardSlide

Use the KyvosURLCardSlide layout to render URL-based dashboard cards.

This layout must include the following placeholders:

• {{title}} — Displays the card title.

• {{url}} — Displays the hyperlink for the URL-based card.

• {{description}} — Displays the card description, if available.

KyvosCardInfoSlide

Use the KyvosCardInfoSlide layout to render card information for data cards.

This layout must include the following placeholders:
