Description:

This property specifies the number of seconds before the system times out while trying to read a semantic model data file on a particular query engine. If a time-out occurs, a message is passed back to the user. This timeout is different from the Analytical Server timeout.

Values and behavior:

Any integer value represents the number of seconds for time out.

The value set as -1 prevents the semantic model data reader from timing out.

Default value:

600 - Semantic model data reads will time out after 600 seconds (10 minutes).

Scope:

• Connection: If the property is set at the connection, then the property value is applicable on all the eligible semantic models from the next browsing instance.

• Semantic Model: If the property is set on a semantic model, then the value will override the connection level value for that semantic model and would be applicable from the next browsing instance.

Comes into effect:

The value of the property can be changed at any time without the need for a full reprocess. The property value will be respected only in the next browsing instance when cuboids are being read.

Dependencies and related properties:

The Analytical Server setting SERVER_TIME_OUT (Analytical Server property) should be greater than or equal to this property.
