Conversational analytics with sample semantic model

Kyvos provides a sample semantic model to help you quickly get started with conversational analytics using the Kyvos Dialogs application.

  1. Select the sample semantic model.

    The predefined questions for the sample semantic model appear.

  2. Clicking on these questions instantly generates the answers, further streamlining your analysis.

Tip

For quick assistance with using Kyvos Dialogs, a set of tips is displayed. Click the tips icon ( ) and read the instructions.

  1. Alternatively, to add a query manually, enter your query in the input box and click the Submit Query button ().

Note

You can execute commands, such as questions about the semantic model or other topics excluding business-related questions.

  1. To modify your input visualization according to your business requirement, use the additional options.

    1. Maximize or minimize the visualization by click the Maximize Visualization option. Similarly, you can minimize using the () button.

    2. Clicking the Actions menu () shows the following options:

      1. Save As Up to Here as New Chat: To save the chat to a specific point.

      2. Show Viz Properties: To adjust the visualization settings—such as view type, color scheme, and input template.

    3. Pin: To pin or unpin visualizations. The pinned chat appears in the Pin board.

    4. Export: To export the visualization as an image or PDF.

    5. Show Info: To view the semantic model details. The info dialog is displayed. You can also click the Edit SQL Query link to change the semantic model in the SQL editor. Click Apply. The data changes will reflect on the Dialogs page.

    6. Activity Center: To view log trails of query execution. During query execution, you can view a short update message indicating the step performed at back end. On click of the message, you can view an action message explaining what action was performed in the Activities panel. When the query execution is complete, you can see all action messages in query processing steps.

    7. To obtain a new list of questions related to the selected semantic model, click the Refresh button ( ). The new list of questions will be displayed.

    8. To copy the summary of the answer, click the Copy Summary icon (image-20241106-135450.png).

    9. To modify your question, click the Edit, Re-submit or Copy to Clipboard icons (image-20241106-131135.png ) that appears next to the question.

  2. To save your chat session click Save. The chat will be saved in the default folder created with the email ID you used to log in to Kyvos Dialogs app.

  3. To change the name of the chat session or create copy of the chat session, click the Save as option to save the chat. The Save dialog box is displayed.

  4. Click Add Workbook. To do this, click Add Folder. A new folder will be created.

  5. Add a unique name in the Workbook Name text box and click Add. The workbook will be added to the folder. After saving the workbook, the chat session will display in the Recent pane.

  6. Click the Actions menu (…) next to the Save button and perform the following actions:

  • Share: Click this option to share the chat via email, link, grant permissions, and view email history.


    Note: To share the chat, you must have SMTP configured via Kyvos Manager.

    1. In the Email Address field, enter the email address of the user with whom you want to share the chat.

    2. In the Description field, provide a brief description for the chat share session.

    3. Specify the access permissions for the recipient, such as:

      • Can View – Allows the user to view the chat.

      • Can Edit – Allows the user to modify the chat.

      • Share Underlying Source Entities – Allows access to the underlying source entities associated with the chat. Once the Underlying Source Entities are shared, the action cannot be reverted.

    4. Click Copy Link to copy the link of the chat session, if required.

    5. Click Send to share the chat session with the specified recipients.

  • Export as PDF: Click this option to export the chat as PDF.

  • Chat Settings: Click this option to expand or collapse the chat.

  • Set as landing page: Click this option to set the chat at the home page for quick navigation.

  • Clear chat: Click this option to delete the chat.

Changing semantic model

To change the semantic model, click the Select Source Icon (), and then click …More. The Change Semantic Model dialog is displayed. Select the required semantic model and click Change. On the confirmation dialog, click Change.
