Operations on Published Reports

You can perform several tasks on published reports such as viewing comments, deleting, emailing, printing, uploading, or generating links.

ACROBAT PDF, COMMA SEPARATED, TEXT, SMART, MS WORD, MS EXCEL, MS POWERPOINT

Select the required format and edit the delivery options from the window to view or download the report in the respective format.

Show Comments

View comments that users have provided for the report.

Delete

Delete the selected published report.

Email

Send the published report to selected recipients.

Print

Generate a PDF of the report. You can then download or print the PDF.

Upload

Upload the report in the chosen format to an FTP server or a shared location.

Links

Generate a link to the report so that it can be shared with Kyvos Reporting or non-Kyvos Reporting users.

Note

Only approved published reports or reports outside the approval process can be linked and shared.

Entity Links

The Entity Links screen allows users with the required privileges to create, edit, or delete links on saved reports.

Filters on Entity Links

You can filter links attached to a report using the following options:

Select Report

Select the report name from a category to view its linked reports. You can also keep the default value Root and specify other criteria.

Saved Report(s)

Select a saved report from a category. Similar to reports, you can keep the default as Root.

Select Owner

Specify the organization and username of the job owner. For normal users, this is disabled and pre-selected.

Owned By

Choose from: Selected User (only the chosen user’s reports), Selected Org (reports of users in the selected organization), or All (reports of all users).

Search

Apply the filter criteria to display the matching linked reports.

Steps to Generate a Link

  1. Select a published report.

  2. From the available options, click Links().

  3. The Entity Links window opens.

  4. Provide the required details.

  5. Click Generate.

View Output in

Select the format in which the report will be viewable. Options: HTML (default), PDF, CSV, Text, Word, Excel.

Access Code

(Optional) Specify an access code for the link. Users must provide the correct code to view the report.

Saved Report Details

Resource Name

Name of the saved report from which the link is generated.

Generated On

Date and time when the report was generated.

Expires On

Expiry date and time of the saved report. After this, the report is no longer available.

URL/Embed

Once a link is generated, a URL or HTML embed code is created. This link can be shared with non-Kyvos Reporting users, enabling them to view the report.

Best Practice
Ensure the correct IP and port of the report server are specified, since these are used in the generated URL.

Report Approval

To work on report approvals:

  1. Open the report in HTML view.

  2. Use the Comments icons on the HTML toolbar.

  3. Based on the assignment type, you can:

    • Approve the report for publishing.

    • Reject the report.

    • Add comments for the approval process.
