Data Source Filters

Data Source Filters

Data source filters apply to all worksheets using a data source, filtering data at the source level before any worksheet-level operations. They reduce the dataset globally, improving performance across the entire workbook. Unlike worksheet filters, changes to data source filters affect every view automatically. They're positioned first in Tableau's order of operations for maximum efficiency.

To apply data source filters, perform the following steps.

  1. Connect to the OrderDate from the Kyvos semantic model.

  2. On the Data Source page, locate the Filters section in the top-right corner.

  3. Click the Add button in the Filters area.
