Post deployment disaster recovery steps

Post deployment disaster recovery steps

Points to know

When using this solution, keep the following in mind:

  1. If disaster recovery occurs, you cannot move back to the original installation.

  2. Configure new data recovery from Kyvos Manager immediately from here.

  3. If the primary deployment was on a private network (tunneling established between Customer and Kyvos VPC), then you must do the same procedure again after DR deployment.

  4. If any additional IPs were allowed in the Security group of the primary installation, you MUST configure them in the DR Security Group as well.

  5. Once the DR deployment is complete, you need to create the custom URL and DNS mapping again.

Post disaster recovery deployment steps

After completing the DR deployment, perform the following:

  1. Ensure the license has been uploaded and verified from both Kyvos and Kyvos Manager UI.
NOTE: You will need a new license, as the Kyvos production license is mapped to the instance ID.

  2. Verify that the user can log in to the Kyvos Manager portal.

  3. Verify that the desired number of BI Servers and Query Engines are available on the Kyvos Manager Portal.

  4. Verify that the user can log in to the Kyvos Portal.

  5. Verify that all users have been imported into Kyvos.

  6. Verify access rights of the imported users.

  7. Verify that the desired number of BI Servers and Query Engines are up and running.

  8. Verify validation and preview operation on datasets.

  9. Verify all data has been recovered (check if all entities are available).

  10. Verify the job history of entities.

  11. Verify that process semantic models are browsable.

  12. Verify that all the Query Engines can serve queries.

  13. Verify that cuboids are replicated locally on the Query Engines' disks.

  14. Verify that only the incremented data is processed in incremental processes.

  15. Verify Live query analysis is working.

  16. Verify that the Historical query analysis includes all data before the disaster as well.

  17. Verify that the Audit logs have all the data before the disaster as well.

  18. Verify that completed jobs on Activity Monitor have all the data before the disaster.
