Getting Totals in Power Viewer
Applies to: Kyvos Reporting
The HTML Power Viewer enables you to calculate totals and summaries dynamically while viewing a report. This is especially helpful for grouped reports, allowing you to view summary data without returning to the Ad hoc Report Designer.
To Add Summaries or Totals
You can add summary calculations—such as Sum, Count, Average, and others—on numeric columns using the context menu.
Steps:
Right-click the column header of the field for which you want to calculate a summary.
Point to Totals, then choose a summary option from the sub-menu (e.g., Sum, Count, Avg).
Click Apply on the Actionboard.
The report refreshes and displays the summary at the end of each group or at the end of the report if no grouping exists.
Note
If a summary is already applied on a field, the (None) option appears in the Totals sub-menu to remove the summary.
Summary totals will appear after each group if the report is grouped. Otherwise, the summary appears as a report-level total.
Hiding or Showing Details
When a report has both grouping and totals, you can toggle the visibility of detail rows. This helps you focus on summary-level data when required.
To Hide Detail Rows
Right-click anywhere on the report body (not on the column header).
Click Hide Details from the context menu.
Click Apply on the Actionboard.
The report refreshes and shows only summary data, hiding individual detail rows.
To Show Detail Rows
Right-click anywhere on the report body (not on the column header).
Click Show Details from the context menu.
Click Apply on the Actionboard.
The report refreshes to display full detail rows along with the summaries.
