Studio Reports
Applies to: Kyvos Reporting
The Studio Reports feature lets you design richly formatted, pixel-perfect reports with charts, tables, and matrices. Features such as drill-down, conditional formatting, and alerting enhance the viewing experience in Kyvos Reporting Studio.
Report designers and data administrators use this feature to create studio reports in Kyvos Reporting Studio.
Kyvos Reporting Studio is the report-design tool in the Kyvos Reporting Enterprise BI suite. Use Kyvos Reporting Studio to create business-critical operational reports with pixel-perfect formatting. You can build sophisticated layouts with charts, images, subreports, and crosstabs. You can install Kyvos Reporting Studio with a flexible installer on a single machine. You can also install multiple studios on different computers and point them to a single report server to provide the data required for report design.
Kyvos Reporting Studio installs in security-enabled mode. Users sign in with the credentials provided by system administrators. In security-enabled mode, available tasks depend on assigned access privileges. Data can come from multiple tables and data sources. Kyvos Reporting Studio can access only the reports for which users have permission.
Use Kyvos Reporting Studio to design both canned reports and pixel-perfect reports. Canned reports are preformatted and distributed to a broad audience or to defined user groups. They are typically scheduled for delivery at set times or are available on demand through a web portal. Pixel-perfect reports are formatted down to the individual pixel. They are primarily designed for printing or for complex requirements such as aligning to existing tax or regulatory forms.
Examples of reports you can design with Kyvos Reporting Studio include business proposals, bank statements, company balance sheets, analysis reports, invoices, year-to-date (YTD) statements, purchase orders, and mark sheets.
