Kyvos SaaS Platform Release Notes
Here’s a list of Kyvos versions for the Kyvos SaaS Portal releases:
Features and Enhancements for 1.11.0
Snowflake Seamless Integration in Kyvos for AWS SaaS
Kyvos now offers self-service integration, allowing users to connect and manage their Snowflake accounts directly from Kyvos. This feature creates a secure trust between the user's Snowflake account and the IAM role in the Kyvos account, enabling seamless connectivity.
With this capability, users can:
Generate the required Snowflake SQL commands from the Kyvos Web portal
Set up stages and integrations in Snowflake.
Register your Snowflake account in Kyvos.
Use the configured account when creating Snowflake connections.
Cluster Enhancements
This release introduces several enhancements to cluster deployment:
Single-Node Cluster Deployment: In addition to multi-node deployments, users can now deploy single-node clusters on both AWS and Azure. A single-node cluster consists of one Query Engine (QE) instance, optimized for small to medium datasets and moderate workloads.
Cluster Size and Compute Options: Users can now select the cluster size and compute service options while creating a cluster. Three cluster sizes are available — Small, Medium, and Large — giving users flexibility to choose deployment types and instance sizes that best fit their requirements.
Automated DR Event Handling in Kyvos Manager: With this release, Kyvos Manager now supports automated handling of Disaster Recovery (DR) events after cluster recovery. This ensures smoother operations by automatically managing DR workflows and reducing the need for manual intervention post-recovery.
Features and Enhancements for 1.10.0
Enhanced Dashboard with Subscription-Based Cluster Filtering
With this release, the Kyvos SaaS Dashboard supports filtering clusters by subscriptions. Users can easily search for and access clusters based on their subscription, simplifying navigation and enhancing usability.
Extended Search Functionality on Clusters
This release enhances the search functionality in the cluster table of the subscription overview and Dashboard. Users can now search by cluster name, status, subscription name, and region, offering a more comprehensive search experience across the platform.
Support for Editing the User’s Account Details
With this release, the Profile section now offers greater flexibility for managing account details. Users can edit their account name in Settings by selecting Edit Account Details.
Display of Account Name Instead of Email ID
In this release, the Account Name will replace the account owner's email ID in various features, such as notifications (bell icon and email), customer lists, search functionality, and account switching, enhancing clarity and usability.
Features and Enhancements for 1.9.0
Support for searching clusters
Users can now search for specific clusters on the Clusters page. This enhancement allows users to easily locate clusters within large deployments.
Integration of Kyvos SaaS Portal with Kyvos
The Kyvos SaaS Portal is now integrated with Kyvos. Customers can log in to the Portal and will be redirected to the SaaS OTP page. After entering the OTP, they will be successfully logged in to the Kyvos SaaS Portal.
Features and Enhancements for 1.8.0
Kyvos version update
With this release, users can now view Kyvos version details during upgrades and rollbacks in the ‘Audit Logs’ tab on the ‘Clusters’ page.
Features and Enhancements for 1.7.0
Support for changing Compute Type
With this release, users can now change the compute type from Kyvos Manager on the Compute Cluster page. The Kyvos SaaS Portal will display the updated compute type in the cluster details section.
Note: The compute type displayed in the Deployment Details section will remain unchanged when the compute type is modified from Kyvos Manager. Changes to the compute type will be performed by Kyvos Administrators, Kyvos Support personnel, Kyvos DevOps teams, and users who possess administrative rights in Kyvos Manager.
Minimum balance for active cluster
A new enhancement has been added to cluster deployment, requiring users to maintain a minimum balance relative to the clusters being deployed. The minimum balance is calculated as N × $100, where N is the total number of clusters being deployed or already deployed.
Features and Enhancements for 1.6.0
Support for Azure Cluster Deployment in Kyvos SaaS Portal
The Kyvos SaaS Portal now supports Azure cluster deployment, in addition to the existing support for AWS clusters. This enhancement broadens the platform's cloud compatibility, providing greater flexibility in deployment options for users.
With the release of version 1.6.0 for both Shared and Dedicated Query Engines (QE), Kyvos on Azure will now support High Availability (HA) configurations. High Availability will be available for both Shared and Dedicated QE deployments, ensuring improved reliability and performance.
