Quick Filters

Quick Filters provide interactive controls on worksheets and dashboards, allowing users to dynamically filter data without editing the view. They offer various display types, including dropdowns, sliders, lists, and wildcard search. Quick filters enhance user interactivity and self-service analytics capabilities. They can be applied to single or multiple worksheets in a dashboard.

To add quick filters, perform the following steps.

1. Connect to OrderDate from Kyvos.

2. Build a basic view: Category to Rows, Sum Sales to Columns.

3. Drag the Region to the filters shelf and select all values.

   Open

   

4. Right-click Region on the Filters shelf.

5. Select Show Filter. A filter card appears on the right side of the view.

   Open

   

6. Click the dropdown on the filter card to change the display type.

7. Try Single Value (dropdown), Multiple Values (list), and Slider.

   Open

   

8. Customize the appearance using the Customize option in the dropdown.
