Date Filters
Date filters provide specialized filtering for temporal data with options for relative dates, date ranges, and discrete date parts. They support rolling time periods, such as "Last 30 Days" or "Current Quarter," which automatically update. Date filters can be configured for specific dates, ranges, or relative periods. They're essential for time-series analysis and trend reporting.
To create a date filter, perform the following steps.
Using the Kyvos OrderDate dataset, drag OrderDate to Filters.
To select the filter type, choose Relative Date.
Set to Last 15 Years.
Click Ok.
Drag OrderDate to columns (Discrete), drill down to the quarters, and drag quarters to rows.
Drag Sum Sales to text.
Right-click the date filter > Show Filter.
Users can now adjust the relative date range.
Try changing to Years, Quarters, or Range of Dates for different filtering options
