Setting Up the Kyvos Cowork Plugin Connected to Kyvos Trial Environment
This section explains how to install and configure the Kyvos Cowork Plugin connected to the Kyvos Trial Environment in Claude Cowork. It provides comprehensive end-to-end setup details using the Kyvos sample semantic model.
Note
Before starting installation:
Ensure Claude Desktop is installed on your system. You can install Cowork using the Claude Desktop application from here.
Follow the procedures carefully to ensure a smooth installation and setup experience.
Installing the Kyvos Cowork plugin in Claude Cowork
To set up the Kyvos Cowork plugin in Claude Cowork connected to the Kyvos trial environment, perform the following steps.
Launch the Claude Desktop application.
In the Cowork space, click the Plus (+) icon and select Add plugins. The Browse plugins dialog is displayed.
On the Browse plugins dialog box, click the Plus (+) icon and choose one of the following installation options:
Add marketplace from GitHub: Use this option to install the Kyvos Cowork plugin directly from GitHub Marketplace.
Upload plugin: Use this option to upload the Kyvos Cowork plugin (.zip file).
Next, install the Kyvos Cowork plugin by doing one of the following:
If installing from the GitHub Marketplace:
On the Browse plugins dialog box, click the Add marketplace from GitHub. The Add marketplace from GitHub dialog box is displayed.
On the Add marketplace from GitHub dialog box, enter
ki-kyvos/kyvos-pluginsin the URL field and click Sync. The kyvos-plugins tab is added.Once the kyvos-plugins tab appears, click Install.
After installation completes, click Manage to view the Kyvos plugin details, as described in step-5.
If installing using a local zip file - Kyvos Cowork plugin
On the Personal tab, click the Plus (+) icon and select Upload plugin. The Upload local plugin dialog is displayed.
Navigate to the folder where the
kyvos-cowork-plugin.zipfile is saved and click Upload. After uploading the Kyvos Cowork plugin, its details appear on the Kyvos page as mentioned below (step-5).
View the Kyvos plugins details on the Kyvos page.
Next, to complete the Kyvos plugin setup, install the Kyvos MCP Server. On the Plugins page, select Connectors > Install.
The Add customer connector dialog box is displayed with the configured MCP Server URL.In the Add customer connector dialog box, verify the MCP Server URL. Click Add, and then click Connect to establish the connection to the Kyvos MCP Server.
Once the Kyvos MCP Server connection is established and displays as enabled, review the listed tool permission details.
Click the Back arrow next to Plugins to return to the Home page. The Kyvos Cowork plugin is now installed and ready for use.
On the Home page, click Plus (+) > Plugins > Kyvos to display a list of available commands.

The steps below (from steps 12 to 14) are based on a sample dataset. However, you can explore and ask questions based on the data in your Kyvos semantic models.

Once you have explored the Kyvos plugin in the trial environment and intend to deploy it in your own environment, ensure that the Kyvos application is configured.
To configure Kyvos, log in to the Kyvos SaaS Portal to complete the required configuration.
