Creating Charts in Ad hoc Reports

You can use charts in Ad Hoc reports to graphically represent your data. Kyvos Reporting supports multiple chart types, including bar, line, pie, radar, and others. You can add multiple charts to a report and define their properties independently.

Charts can be generated using the same dataset as the report or a different query object.

Adding a Chart

Click the + icon in the Chart section to add a new chart.
Configure chart properties using the tabs available within the chart panel.
Additional charts automatically adjust based on layout space and may appear in new rows.

If a field on the X or Y axis is hyperlinked (configured at the Query Object level), users can drill down into another report or URL by clicking a chart data point.

Chart Properties

General Settings

Query Object	Choose Use Parent's to use the main report dataset or select a different query object.
Chart Title	Enter the title to display above the chart.
Chart Type	Select the base chart type (e.g., Bar, Line, Pie, Radar).
Link	Choose from: Report Fields: Uses report group fields and numeric fields. Matrix: Uses matrix row/column groups and cell fields.
Clear Chart	Removes all chart settings.

Value Fields (Y-Axis)

You can add one or more fields to Y, Y1, Y2, etc., to display multiple series on the chart.

Field	Drag from Available Fields. Each field represents a Y-axis series.
Function	Choose aggregation: Sum, Avg, Count, Min, Max, etc.
Series Type	Select chart type per series (inherits from base if not set).
Trend	Optional. Configure trend lines: - Enable Show Trend Line Choose Trend Type (Automatic/Manual) For Manual, select from: Linear, Polynomial, Moving Average, etc. Set Forecast (Forward/Backward).

X-Axis (Group Fields)

Label Angle	Set label rotation: 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°.
