Inserting a New Sub-Report

You can insert and design a sub-report within your main report using Kyvos Reporting Studio. A sub-report can contain independent content or leverage the parameters of the main report.
Steps to Insert a Sub-Report
Open the main report in Kyvos Reporting Studio where the sub-report is to be inserted.
On the menu bar, click Insert > Sub-Reports.
The cursor changes to a cross (+) symbol.
Click and drag on the layout pane to draw a sub-report frame.
Right-click the sub-report frame and select Edit SubReport.
The Create a new Sub-report from dialog appears.Select the New Report radio button and click OK.
The Sub-Report Wizard opens.In the Sub-Report Wizard, choose one of the following:
Blank Report to design manually.
Use Wizard options to create the sub-report using predefined templates and layout steps.
Design the sub-report by using available controls and layout sections as you would in any main report.
Click Save to save the sub-report.
Click Close to return to the main report.
Note
If the sub-report needs to access parameters from the main report, it is recommended to create the sub-report using the wizard. This allows direct mapping and reuse of the main report’s parameters.
Editing a Sub-Report
To edit a previously inserted sub-report:
Right-click the sub-report frame on the main report layout.
Click Edit SubReport.
Modify the sub-report as required.
Click Save to save the changes.
