Configuring Series Settings for Studio Reports Charts
Applies to: Kyvos Reporting
The Series tab in the Chart Properties dialog box allows you to configure behavior and formatting options for each chart series. It includes the following sub-tabs:
General
Border
Marker
Point Labels
Chart-specific tab (Gauge, OHLC, Candle Stick, or Split-Pie)
You can configure settings for either <<All Series>> or a specific series. Certain properties are enabled or disabled based on the selected chart type.
To change the order of a series, select a series and click the Up or Down arrow.
General Tab
Property | Description |

Legend Text | Text to appear in the chart legend for this series. |
Hyperlink | Specify a hyperlink (URL or report) triggered when clicking the series. |
Tooltip | Text that appears when hovering over the series. Use |
Axis | Select the axis to associate with this series. |
Fill Pattern | Choose a pattern to apply to the series. |
Multiple Colors | Apply multiple colors to the series. You can select the color palette. |
Gradient Fill | Apply gradient fill styling to the series. |
Transparency | Set transparency (0 = opaque, 100 = fully transparent). |
Null Values (Line Charts) | Define how null values are treated:

Border Tab
Property | Description |

Visible | Show or hide the border. |
Line Style | Select the line style (solid, dashed, etc.). |
Line Weight | Define the border thickness in pixels. |
Color | Set the border color. |
Marker Tab
Applicable to: Area, Line, Curve, Curve Area, Scatter charts
Property | Description |

Shape | Choose the shape of data point markers. |
Size | Define the marker size. |
Step | Interval (data points) between markers. For example, a value of 2 will plot every second point. |
Point Labels Tab
Property | Description |

Visible | Show or hide point labels. |
Font | Choose font settings for point labels. |
Angle | Set the angle of the label text. |
Horizontal Offset | Distance in pixels from the series to the label's starting point (horizontal). |
Vertical Offset | Distance in pixels from the series to the label's starting point (vertical). |
Data Format | Format the value displayed (e.g., currency, decimal). |
Gauge Tab
Configure gauge-style charts using the following options:
Dial
Property | Description |

Start Angle | Dial start angle in degrees (left to right). |
End Angle | Dial end angle in degrees. |
Label | Position of labels: Inside or Outside. |
Scale | Position of scale: Inside or Outside. |
Needle/Marker
Property | Description |

Type | Choose between Needle or Marker. |
Length | Needle length as a percentage of radius. |
Base | Needle base width as a percentage of radius. |
Begin Style | Choose Line or Pointer as starting style. |
End Style | Select the needle’s end style. |
Zones
Single Zone: Enable Single and select gradient start and end colors.
Multiple Zones:
Add rows specifying Start Value, End Value, and Color.
To delete a zone, select the row and click the delete icon.
OHLC Tab
Appears only for the OHLC chart type.

Candle Stick Tab
Appears only for Candle Stick chart type.

Pie Tab

Pie Labels
Label Option | Description |

Label | Show labels on each pie segment. |
Value | Show actual values on segments. |
Percentage | Show values as a percentage of the total. |
