Database restore failure handling post rollback

Database restore failure handling post rollback

Dump-based restore is supported across all clouds; however, in AWS, if performing a rollback to a version where the database state backup was taken via snapshot, you need to restore the Kyvos database to that state using the provided snapshot information.

If the database state restore fails:

  • In AWS, for rollback states backed up with an RDS snapshot, the system displays the details of the snapshot used for restoration.

  • For all clouds (AWS, Azure, and GCP), if rollback states are backed up using a database dump, the system displays the file path of the database dump required to restore the database state. For restore the database dump, see the Switch Repository section.
