Enabling Query Result Caching

Query Result Caching stores the results of recent queries so that identical subsequent queries return instantly without re-querying Kyvos. Kyvos maintains its own caching layers, creating a multi-tier caching strategy. When caching is enabled, frequently accessed dashboards and common filter combinations return results immediately, dramatically improving user experience. Kyvos’s intelligent caching maintains results for popular query patterns.

To enable Query result caching, perform the following steps.

1. Open semantic model > Refine model > Advanced Properties > Go to query cache section > Enable result caching by making property value “kyvos.query.resultcache.strategy” to ALL.

2. Now, try querying the same semantic model through Tableau. The user will get a response from the cache, which is much faster than usual.
