Pages Shelf

Pages shelf creates animated visualizations that play through dimension values sequentially, showing changes over time or across categories. It adds playback controls to step through data interactively. Pages are excellent for presentations and revealing temporal patterns. They enable story-like progression through data dimensions.

To create a page shelf, perform the following steps.

1. Using Kyvos OrderDate, create a map with State and Sum Sales as the color attributes.

2. Ensure the date or date part (month or quarter) in your data.

3. Drag Month to the Pages shelf.

4. Page control appears on the right side of the view.

   Open

   

5. Use the play button to animate through time periods.

6. Adjust speed with slider control.

7. Shows how sales distribution changes over time

8. Pause at any point to examine a specific period.

9. Enable Show history to show trails of previous marks.

10. Use for presentations to progressively reveal trends.
