Dual Axis

Dual axis charts overlay two measures on the same visualization using two independent axes, enabling comparison of measures with different scales. They help show correlation by combining different chart types or displaying related metrics. Dual axes can be synchronized to share scale or remain independent. They maximize space efficiency in dashboards.

To specify a dual axis, perform the following steps.

1. With OrderDate from Kyvos, drag "Ship Mode" to columns and Sum Sales, Sum Quantity into rows. Two separate charts appear.

2. Right-click the second pill SUM(Sum Quantity) on Rows and select Dual Axis.

4. Right-click the axis and select Synchronize Axis to use the same scale for both measures.

5. Change mark type for each measure independently, and use different colors for clarity. A bar (orange) represents Sum Sales, and a Circle (blue) represents Sum Quantity.
