Sort Options
Sort options control the display order of dimension members using alphabetical, numeric, manual, or field-based sorting. They organize data for easier interpretation and highlight important values. Sorting can be ascending, descending, or based on aggregated measure values. Manual sorting allows complete custom ordering of dimension members.
To control the display order of the dimension member, perform the following steps.
With OrderDate from Kyvos, create a view with Sub-Category on Rows and Sum Sales on Columns.
Click the sort icon in the toolbar (ascending/descending bars).
For more control, click the Sub-Category pill, then select the Sort icon dropdown.
Select Sort to open the dialog.
Choose the sort order as Ascending or Descending.
Select sort by: Data source order, Alphabetic, Field (Sales), or Manual.
For Manual sorting, drag members to the desired order.
Click Ok.
Right-click the field in the Data pane > Default Properties > Sort to set the default.
