Using Same Aggregation as Defined in Kyvos Semantic Model
Using an exported semantic model metadata file (TDS) is highly recommended as it automatically applies the correct default aggregations and preserves number formatting from your semantic model in Tableau. Without the TDS file, you must manually configure aggregations in Tableau to match your semantic model definitions. For example, if "Min Sales" uses MIN aggregation in the semantic model, you need to set it to MIN in Tableau as well, since Tableau defaults to SUM aggregation.
To manually change the measure aggregation in Tableau, perform the following steps.
Check the aggregation defined in the semantic model. In this case, the aggregation minimum has been defined for the “min sales” measure.
Note
Tableau connection (without exported semantic model metadata TDS) will apply aggregation sum by default. You will get a query failure as it is not a correct aggregation. So, you need to set aggregation manually.
