Sparklines

Sparklines are small, word-sized charts showing trends without axes or labels, designed for inline display in tables or text. They provide at-a-glance trend visualization without detailed analysis. Sparklines maximize information density, fitting many trends in limited space. They're ideal for executive dashboards and performance scorecards that display multiple metrics.

To show sparkline trends, perform the following steps.

1. Using Kyvos OrderDate, drag "Sub-Category" to Rows.

2. Drag Year and month.

3. Drag Sum Sales to Rows.

4. Hide all headers and axis labels.

5. Click Marks and change type to Lines.

   Open

   

6. To remove gridlines from the sheet, right-click the visualization, select Format > Lines > Grid Lines > None.

   Open

   

7. Minimize row height and chart size.
