Measure Filters

Measure filters restrict data based on aggregated numeric values, filtering after aggregation occurs. They enable filtering by sum, average, count, or other aggregate functions. Measure filters are helpful for showing top performers, values above thresholds, or outlier identification. They come later in the order of operations than dimension filters.

To create measure filters, perform the following steps.

1. With OrderDate loaded from Kyvos, create a view.

2. Drag Sub-Category to Rows and Sum Sales to Columns.

3. Drag Sum Sales to the Filters shelf.

4. Choose aggregation type (Sum, Average, etc.) - select "Sum"

   Open

   

5. Select "Range of Values" and enter the minimum value (e.g., 200000).

   Open

   

6. Click Ok.

7. The view now displays only sub-categories with sales exceeding 200,000.

8. Right-click filter > Show Filter for interactive control.

   Open

   

9. Adjust the range slider to change the threshold dynamically.
