Top N Filters

Top N filters display only the highest or lowest ranking members based on a measure value. They automatically update as data changes, always showing the top or bottom performers. These filters help in focusing on best/worst sellers, most profitable items, or extreme values. They work in conjunction with context filters for proper scoping.

To create Top N Filters, perform the following steps.

1. Using Kyvos OrderDate data, drag ProductName to Rows.

2. Drag Profit() to columns, and drag ProductName to the filters shelf.

3. In the Filter dialog box, select the Top tab.

4. Choose the By field option.

5. Select Top and enter 10.

6. Choose Profit() as the field and Sum as aggregation.

7. Click Ok. The current view displays only the top 10 most profitable products.
